Michael graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington and later from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. While at St. Mary's, Michael focused his studies on Constitutional and criminal law.
After graduation, Michael prosecuted cases involving the abuse and neglect of children for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services at the Webb County Attorneys Office in Laredo, Texas. As Assistant County Attorney, Michael preserved the rights of innocent children.
Having returned to North Texas, Michael was employed with the the City Attorneys Office in Arlington prosecuting traffic offenses and city ordinance violations. As his desire to handle high level offenses grew, Michael accepted a position as felony prosecutor with the Victoria County Criminal District Attorneys Office in Victoria, Texas.
He has prosecuted cases involving drugs and gangs, capital murder, aggravated assault, burglary, deadly conduct, driving while intoxicated and more.
After handling thousands of criminal cases and many jury trials as a prosecutor, Michael decided to become a criminal defense attorney in Tarrant County, TX. He became employed with one of the largest criminal defense firms in the state of Texas, defending clients charged with offenses ranging from traffic tickets to first degree felonies.
With his experience as a prosecutor and defense attorney, Michael decided to open an office dedicated to effective and competent representation to those accused of criminal offenses, ensuring their Constitutional rights. .
Michael established The Law Offices of Michael Pool, PLLC, to provide ethical, honest, effective and personalized representation at an affordable and reasonable price with the goal to obtain the best possible outcome of the client's case.
